i sit alone at night sometimes and i think to myself. i wonder what life would be like if i had a family that wasn’t so dysfunctional. or friends that weren’t so depressed. and how all of this would affect me. would i feel better about my own life if i wasn’t treated so terribly by my siblings and constantly worried about everyone else’s life? i feel like i need to disappear from reality. not as in suicide, but just leave everything behind and start fresh. i feel so overwhelmed.

family: jokes around about things they know you're insecure about
family: scoffs and makes fun of you for the things you enjoy
family: are completely fucking surprised and offended that you don't like being around them and are eager to move out or get as far away as possible
